Ragi Mudde
Ragi mudde is a popular and nutritious dish from the southern region of India, particularly Karnataka. It is a simple and healthy preparation made with ragi flour (finger millet flour) and water.
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup Nickmics Ragi Flour
- 2 tbsp Ghee
- Salt to taste
Recipe
- Heat water in a kadhai and add salt.
- As it starts to boil, reduce the heat and add 1/2 cup of Nickmics Ragi Flour and which continuously to avoid lumps.
- It will slowly start to thicken. Add the remaining 1/2 cup Nickmics Ragi Flour.
- Keep stirring continuously so no lumps are formed.
- Keep the heat on low flame. Cover it and keep it for 2-3 minutes.
- Once the ragi is thickened, keep stirring the ragi continuously; add ghee and mix well.
- Keep stirring until you see shine on it.
- Taste it to keep it cooked completely.
- Grase your hand or bowl and shape the cooked ragi into balls.
- Serve the Nickmics Ragi Mudde with hot sambhar, rasam or gravy sabji.
