¼ tsp cardamom powder/elaichi powder
few dry fruits (chopped).
Badam Halwa in 7 steps:
- Firstly soak Nickmics Almonds in warm water so that the skin is easy to peel off.
- Finely ground the soaked almonds then use them for badam halwa, alternatively you can also make a paste for a different texture. If you are vegan you can also use almond milk & oil in place of ghee or milk.
- It is important to have a texture of the ground almonds similar to semolina / rava.
Cook almonds paste in ghee until it imparts nutty aroma & changes colour. - Add whole wheat flour. Keep stirring until the almonds and wheat flour mixture are well roasted. Add water & milk mixture.
- Add sugar. Mix well till the halwa is semi-dry. Add saffron and cardamom powder.
- The consistency of badam halwa is thick. Avoid overcooking.
- Serve badam ka halwa hot garnished with almond slivers!
