Bajra Til Bhakri Recipe
Bajra Til Bhakri is a traditional Indian dish made with bajra (pearl millet) flour and sesame seeds. It is a popular flatbread in the regions of Maharashtra, Gujrat, and Rajasthan.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Nickmics Bajra Atta / Flour
- Salt to taste
- Warm water to knead the dough
- Nickmics Til seeds
- Wheat atta/flour for dusting
Recipe
- Mix Nickmics Bajra Atta & salt together in a large bowl.
- Knead the dough well using warm water. The dough should be like a softball.
- Apply little ghee & let it rest for some time.
- Dust the wheat flour on the surface. Heat the tava / pan on medium flame.
- Divide the dough into equal portions.
- Using your hands roll the dough into a round shape. Further using a rolling pin to make it round semi-thick roti.
- Place the bhakri on the tava & apply some water.
- Sprinkle some Nickmics Til on the surface & press lightly.
- Turn the roti & cook from the other side.
- Once they are cooked from both sides, lift the bhakri with tongs & roast on the direct flame from both sides for a few seconds.
- Apply ghee & serve hot with sabzi.
